A young man (played by Varun Dhawan) arrives in Mumbai for a job interview and lands in a city where all fighting is replaced by sports. Priyadarshan, who is known for supernatural thrillers such as Ghajini and Golmaal Returns, will make his debut as a producer and the director of the film. It is being made on a budget of around `8 crore. The film is scheduled to be released on July 9, 2012. Varun, who is currently busy with Hindi film Jab We Met, will take a break from it for the film. Principal photography for the movie is to begin in April. “I am really excited about the project because I have never tried something like this, a multilingual film,” Varun said. "It will be the first and only fantasy film in which all fighting and fighting is replaced by sports,” he added. The film is also to be produced by Arun Murugan, who has produced hits like Ghajini, Ghajini Returns and The Dirty Picture, in association with Priyadarshan. “It's a multilingual project and the producers want to test their feet in all these languages. It's our first such project,” Arun said. The film is being made under Arun's production house 3 Idiots. Tara Sutaria, who is now shooting for English film Stranford, will play a lead in The Wallflower.
